On February 16th, SCADA hosted their Lunar New Year luncheon. Hosted annually, this time, we decided to keep it small with no more than 55 people attending the event at Vegas Seafood Buffet in Glendale. Our 20th Anniversary Gala is coming soon in June!

Luncheon started with a welcome speech by President Mingchen Yang and Vice President Sharon Gough. 
Our Secretary, Kerlan Kim, explained what was included in the raffle prizes. We offered two raffle prizes. The first prize was full of Asian goodies donated by Jan Wong and James Miller from their travels in Asia such as Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Korea, Taiwan, and China. The second prize consisted of all things pork such as pork rinds, spam, and a piggy bank!

Kavita Pipalia, President of California Association of the Deaf (CAD) encouraged guests to stand up and vote for their rights by becoming members of CAD.
