SCADA WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
Sunday May 24th, 2020
Message from President
Hope the weekly newsletter has inspired you to do something different and new while in quarantine. What have you done so far?
I’ve read new books, watched new shows, and of course, explored new dishes through cooking. Be adventurous at home!
Wishing you a beautiful Memorial Day weekend!
In honor of all the veterans as well as the active service members.
Thank you for all you do.
Beautiful minds inspire others
Slant’d is a magazine building the community that Asian Americans want, need, and deserve.
“Slant’d is our activism: we are a collective built from the ground up by
Asian Americans, for Asian Americans, rooted in the causes and values that
matter to us, and fueled by creativity in every form.”
Life isn’t perfect, any failures you have are actually
learning moments. They teach us how to grow and evolve.
Real news by real people on real topics coming from Asia.
Watch: Trans and Asian American Deaf Chella May is here to defy your stereotypes.
The Pennsylvania-raised, Brooklyn-based artist identifies with multiple marginalized communities: he’s a deaf, transgender, Jewish Chinese American.
And despite the fact that many might consider some of those attributes a handicap, the model and activist has been able to leverage his uniqueness
into commercial success. In September 2018, he signed with IMG Models, becoming the first deaf, transgender model to do so. The following year,
he was cast in the DC Universe series “Titans.”
Watching horror movies can help
you burn up to 200 calories.
CAUTION: For mature viewers only! Violence, gory, scary elements, and language.
Content is generally suitable for ages 17 and up.
Sound is included! Enjoy!
Food is the ingredient that binds us together.
Book and Cook: Ready or Not!
I love this cooking book. It includes comic strips of an author’s life and visual
instructions in recipes. Order the book or download recipes from the link.

HAVE FUN when you work out and it won’t feel like work.
Tatsuya Takaine is a Japanese man who creates content focused on workouts on YouTube.
He speaks Japanese and his videos include English subtitles. You can try out his workouts
at home, no equipment needed! It’s very easy and fun. Tatsuya mixes in some comedy
during his workout to keep you entertained. Give it a try!
Need to make your thighs thinner? Here’s my favorite workout video
If you can inspire a kid, that’s maybe
the best part of being a comic book artist.
